Army Chief General Bajwa has telephoned General Nicholson, Commander of Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan to play his role to stop use of Afghan soil for terror attacks in Pakistan.

Inter-Services Public Relations reported that the army chief has urged United States commander to play his role to curb terror attacks in Pakistan.
“COAS expressed his concerns over continued acts of terrorism in Pakistan with impunity from Afghanistan. Most of the incidents in Pakistan are claimed by terrorist organisations with leadership hiding in Afghanistan,” the statement said.
The army chief said that inaction against terrorists in Afghanistan is testing Pakistan’s policy of cross border restraint. “COAS asked Commander RSM to play his role in disconnecting this planning, direction, coordination and financial support.”
The media cell reported that General Bajwa informed the US commander about forwarding a list of terrorists that has been handed over to Afghanistan demanding action against them.
“US General expressed his condolences on loss of precious lives in recent terrorist incidents and assured him full assistance in response to his concerns,” the ISPR stated.
The RSM commander shared his plans to undertake special coordination at appropriate level between RSM, Afghan security forces and Pakistan.
