Biased SSP Khairpur Police has disallowed Pakistan Independence Day rally that was planned by the leading Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen to mark the celebrations like other compatriots.

Maulana Naqi Hyderi, Khairpur-based leader of the MWM was served with notice on the plan to stage the Independence Rally in which the district’s police officer has told him that the rally by a religio-political party was not allowed under the National Action Plan (NAP) but this stance is misinterpretation of the NAP because the NAP has targeted banned terrorist outfits and not the legally registered parties.
However, banned terrorist parties such as ASWJ has been allowed free hand in Khairpur where they hold their programmes publicly and police took no action against them.
It is also very unfortunate fact that Khairpur was a princely Shia State and the Shia Muslim rulers of the Khairpur state had annexed their princely state with Pakistan because Shia Muslims loved Pakistan but biased officials within Pakistan state machinery has made lives of Shia Muslims miserable by patronizing takfiris in al over Pakistan, let alone Khairpur.
Shia Muslims have condemned the Khairpur SSP and asked the Sindh Chief Minister to take stern action against the biased SSP and issue immediate directives to allow MWM to stage Pakistan rally to mark Independence Day celebrations.
