Six Shiite Muslim injured in twin crackers blasts in Multan on Shab-e-Baraat

shiitenews_multanAt least six Shiite Muslims were injured in crackers blast near a religious procession of Dua-e-Kumail on the occasion of Shab-e-Baraat, here in Multan on Sunday night.

According to SSP Operation Malik Yousaf told the Shiite News, Shab-e-Baraat processions were passing through Pul Phuttiyan, Naubahar lake on Piraan Ghayab Road when two crackers blasted with big bang. As a result of blasts, six worshippers reciting Dua-e-Kumail
 sustained injuries. The blasts created scare and chaos in the area.

Heavy contingent of police and other law enforcement agencies reached the scene and cordoned off the area. Search operation was launched after the blasts but no arrests were made.

The rescue workers shifted the injured to Nishtar Hospital where according to medics condition of all the injured people was out of danger.

Some sources claimed that the two crackers blasts took place at the bank of Naubahar Lake where people had gathered to feed the fish on the eve of Shab-e-Baraat.

Witnesses said the blasts were powerful enough to be heard far and wide and windowpanes of several buildings located nearby were broken due to intensity.
