Sibtayn-Hussaini-MWM-KPKAllama Sibtayn Hussaini, Secretary General of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Khyber-Pukhtoonkhwa province chapter, has said that some elements within the State’s institutions were involved in Shia genocide.

“We believe in strong defence of Pakistan and that requires a strong Pakistan army but that doesn’t mean that black-sheep within the security agencies should not be taken to task,” he said in an interview.

The eminent Shia leader from Parachinar further said that as an institution army was not involved against Shiites or other fellow Pakistanis but there are some elements who brought a bad name to the security officials by their wrongdoings.

“In Pakistan, terrorists are acting like astray but wild dogs hence an operation is needed to liquidate them in order to build peace in the country. Terrorists are enemies of Pakistan so they should not be appeased through talks,” he said.

He defended the MWM’s political course of action saying that the MWM voiced protest against oppression and tyranny. He said that Shiites were being killed and to protest against that is a must to express solidarity with the heirs of the martyrs. He asked why criticism on the protest against the killings?

“No plot against the legal status of Kotli Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) will be tolerated. MWM will support the locals in their struggle against the KP government’s decision to change its legal status,” he vowed. However, he made clear that the major obstacle to the joint struggle was the differences of the local notables and they should join hands burying their differences.
