Entry of 135 clerics including Ahmed Ludhanvi banned in Sindh

Malik-Ishaq-543The Sindh government has banned entry of 135 religious scholars of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan into the province for 60 days in wake upcoming month of Muharram including the leading terrorist of Sipah-e-Sahaba Ahmed Ludkhanvi and Khadim Hussain.

The ban has been imposed to maintain law and order situation in the province during the month of Muharram to avoid any sectarian riots.

Among those who have been banned is Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, the JUI-F leader who is also opposition leader in the Senate. While Hafiz Hussain Ahmed of JUI-F, SSP terrorist Ahmed Ludhanvi, SSP terrorist Khadim Hussain Dhalon, Abdul Sattar Toonsavi, Asharf Hussain Shah, Abdul Qadir Roopalvi, Qazi Mazhar Hussain and others have also been banned.

As many as 93 religious scholars from Punjab, 31 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 11 from Balochistan have been restrained from entering Sindh for 60 days.

 

Besides these, inter-district movement of as many as 429 religious scholars of Sindh has also been banned for 60 days.

An official of Sindh Home department said that this was an old practice of Sindh government, which usually happened before the Muharam.

He said that this decision was taken during a high level meeting held a few days back.
