Shia Muslims of Parachinar continue their protest sit-in outside the office of Political Agent to seek his removal and elimination of terrorists, immediately.

The protestors belonging to Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen have demanded of the Government and Chief of the Army Staff to take stern action against two colonels of the Frontier Corps for firing on peaceful protestors in the wake of Parachinar blasts.

A faction of Pakistan-based Deobandi terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi on Saturday claimed responsibility for twin bombs that hit a market in the northwestern town of Parachinar, killing at least 95 Shia Muslims on Quds Day, the last Friday of Ramadan ahead of Eid.

Martyrdom toll of Parachinar twin blasts has increased to 95 and 240 injured still remain under treatment as Shia Muslim victims mourn the terrorist attack on Saturday.

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen secretary general Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari has appealed to people to observe Saturday as a day of protest and also observe 3-day mourning to condemn the cowardice terrorists’ blasts in Shia majority Parachinar city in Kurrum Agency on Friday.

In Parachinar, four Shia Muslims embraced martyrdom due to straight firing by the FC cops on the order of Colonel Umar on Friday, according to Parachinar News Service.

The army's media wing announced that security and surveillance of the Pak-Afghan border had been intensified after two separate terror attacks in Quetta and Kurram Agency on Friday, which Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) attributed to 'sanctuaries' across the border.

Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, a splinter group of the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing in Quetta that left at least 13 Muslims dead including 7 policemen.

At least 35 Shia Muslims were martyred and over 100 injured, with fears of casualties rising, after two subsequent explosions hit a densely populated Shia majority area of Kurram Agency's Parachinar city Friday evening. The death toll was confirmed by hospital sources, who warned that the number of casualties may rise.

Shia Muslims of Pakistan and allied-Sunnis are observing International Youm-ul-Quds to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine in every nook and cranny of the country today.
