A senior Hamas member says the Palestinian resistance movement seeks stronger ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“In order to confront the challenges and big threats facing Palestine we seek assistance and consolidation of ties with Arab and Islamic countries, especially the Islamic Republic of Iran,” said Mahmoud al-Zahar, a co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in the Gaza Strip.

“The Palestinian resistance is in the best circumstances and situation,” he noted.

“We are steadfast in the course of struggle and resistance, our numbers increase day by day, and we achieve more victories,” the Palestinian official said.

He stated that the resistance against Israel will continue until the complete liberation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Hamas official also said that the resistance movement will never recognize the occupying regime of Israel.
