Russians to get a better understanding of Shia Muslims

russia_flagA prominent Islamic Research Center in Dagestan, Russia has kicked off publishing online articles in a move to introduce the Ahul Bayt (pbut), the household of the holy prophet to the world community.The articles which have been published on Wikipedia wesite are aimed at introducing Shia to the Russian people.
The center has recently published two articles on schism and Shia fiqh (jurisprudent) on Wikipedia.The center is expected to post an article weekly online on the subject.

Shia population is growing in Russia.

According to PEW Research Center’s report in 2009, Russia is home to some 16.482.000 Muslims, 165.000 of which are Shia.
