Saudi Arabia’s airstrikes against Yemen have entered their sixteenth day, with Saudi warplanes targeting more locations across the Arab country.

Saudi fighter jets bombarded the headquarters of the Yemeni Air Force near the airport in the capital, Sana’a, in the early hours of Friday.

Reports also say rockets fired by Saudi-led warships have hit the southern Yemeni port city of Aden.

There has been no immediate report of casualties in the latest Saudi act of aggression.

On Thursday, Saudi warplanes pounded Yemen’s Defense Ministry building in the center of the capital, Sana’a.

The country’s elite Republican Guards in the Faj Attan Hill area in the south of the capital and a base for Republican Guards were also hit. Also on Thursday, Saudi fighter jets bombarded a military airport in the southern province of Shabwa.

The air raids by Saudi Arabia came after Ansarullah fighters managed to take control of Ataq, the capital of oil-rich Shabwa, earlier on Thursday.

Saudi Arabia’s air campaign against Yemen started on March 26 without a UN mandate in a bid to restore power to the country’s fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

Hundreds of people have so far been killed and thousands more wounded since the beginning of the Saudi aggression. Most victims of the raids are reported to be women and children.
