Lebanon-rockets-fired-from-syriaThe militant groups in Syria launched 4 rockets onto the Lebanese town of Nabi Shiet in Bekaa, wounding three people.

Al-Manar correspondent reported that one of the rockets fell amongst the residential buildings, wounding three people due to the glass shatter in one of the houses.

On the other hand, a high-ranking military official from the Palestinian group Fatah was killed on Monday by gunmen in a refugee camp in south Lebanon, Al-Manar Website correspondent reported.

Brigadier General Jamil Zeidan died in hospital after unidentified assailants shot him in Ain El-Hilweh, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, the National News Agency reported.

Shootings and armed clashes are common in the camp, which houses about 50,000 refugees.

Hostilities in the camp have increased as regional tensions rise, with violence spilling over from the civil war in neighboring Syria.
