Allama Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has said that martyrs of Model Town were martyrs of MWM hence his party will largely participate in the Martyrs Day announced by Dr Tahir ul Qadri.

Dr Tahir Ul Qadri, Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehrik and Tehrik-e-Minhaj ul Quran, has announced Martyrs Day to be observed on August 10 in Model Town Lahore to commemorate the murders of 14 of his supporters by Lahore Police in June, 2014.

“14 innocent people were martyred. Their sacred blood should not go waste. To protest against the brutalities is fundamental constitutional and democratic right of people, so government must not harass people,” Allama Nasir Abbas maintained speaking at a meeting in Lahore, according to the Shiite News Correspondent.
