Ashura Day observed in the country with honor and respect

Millions of mourners came out on roads in the entire country, including Karachi, on the day of Ashura and chanted slogans of ‘Labaik Ya Hussain (as).

According to details, in accordance with the martyrdom day of the Grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) day of Ashura was observed in the country with honor and respect. Mourning congregations and processions were arranged in different cities of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta which were attended by millions of people.

In Karachi, the central procession was brought out from Nishtar Park that, after following its designated route, ended at Hussainia’n Irania’n Kharadar. Mourners of Imam Hussain (as) offered the Zohrain prayers at Tibat Centre which was led by Molana Ghulam Abbas Raisi.

Processions were also brought out in Lahore, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Rawalpindi and other cities during which the mourners paid homage to Imam Hussain (as) and mourned for Him while reciting Nohas and performing Matam. Sabeels (water and juice stalls) and Nazar were also arranged for facilitating the mourners.

Mourning processions of Imam Hussain (as) have been arranged by the followers of Ahl e Bait (as) but people of every school of thought attended these processions. Ahl e Sunnat brothers and people of minorities also attended the processions and paid homage to Imam Hussain (as).
