Pir Aijaz Ahmed Hashmi, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), a Sunni party, has urged the Pakistan government to stay away from Saudi war on Yemen and suggested that Saudi monarchy should also not interfere into internal affairs of other countries.

Declaring Pakistan a state sponsor of terrorism will create a situation that will be difficult to reverse, will fail in forcing Islamabad to change its policies and will not help the US cause in Afghanistan.

New police wing for security duty in Quetta recommended

Inspector General of Balochistan Police Moazzam Jah Ansari has said that a proposal of establishing a police force, comprising around 1,500 personnel, exclusively for security duty in the city is under consideration. Once established, the new force would help send police personnel deputed on security duty back to police stations, he said.
